Challenge Modesssss!

Since killing the Thunder King last month we've had a lot of downtime as many people have been out on vacation or have just gotten burned out of ToT.  We've made a few attempts at Heroic Jin'rokh and Heroic Ji'kun, but most weeks we just haven't had the people and end up running it on normal while pugging a few spots.  After getting accustomed to one-shotting everything (besides Durumu and Iron Qon when we don't have a lock for portals) bringing in new players and wasting time wiping on farmed bosses just lost its appeal.  So this week we tried something different: Challenge Modes!

I've always been really excited about Challenge Modes- they remind me of old-school dungeon runs where you had to LoS and CC and be actually organized for a dungeon, unlike the zerg-fest of today.  Although, granted it still is a zerg-fest since we are on the clock, but it is a well-organized zerg-fest.  So, for two raid nights when we didn't have a full ten, we ran challenge modes.  And it was awesome.

We finished them all and got silver, next week if we have other free nights we are going to try for gold.  That's going to be a lot harder, there were some runs where we did everything flawlessly and we still missed gold.  Others we messed up a bit and missed by a lot.  I'm looking forward to it, though, and that awesome looking shammy transmog set.

I'm pretty sure we're the only horde team on our server to get silver (just from looking at wowprogress).  Although it's kindof sad that cross-realm groupings mess up server leaderboards.  For Khaz Modan, for example, there's one group that is #1 for every dungeon, and they are all from Blackrock except for one person who is on Khaz Modan.  A workaround to get a higher ranking on a lower pop server?

I had this up on my facebook page a long time ago, but I wanted to use it for a forum sig and couldn't get it to access the fb page image.  So here it is!  Haven't updated in forever and prob won't have time for awhile still, unfortunately.

Bears!

Bears, Satan's children, are godless killing machines with the sole purpose of destroying human kind.  And maybe eating honey.  This blog is 100% anti bear, although it's pro direbear - there's a difference, look it up.  I was recently reminded about this threat to my life when I was tasked to rescue bear cubs from a tree and throw them down onto a trampoline to safety.

Although I would rather throw them to their deaths and skin them, they were very cute and the easy xp was irresistible...  It was also amusing and reminded me of the bear trampoline youtube clip from back in 2006?  Not sure.  Anyway, here it is if you missed it:

This is not a World of Warcraft blog, but since it's winter break and it's the only time I have to play (since our school does not believe in the internet, see figure 1) there will probably be a few WoW updates for the next month.

Mostly I've still been in Northrend leveling my new horde rogue.  This has included some PUGs using the handy new random dungeon finder.  Like all PUGs, there always is the element of surprise!  Who are you going to get?  Will they be competent?  Will they be ninjas?  Who knows!  Most of the runs went fine, so many people are power leveling their alts using those heirloom items (which I really should have gotten before they jacked the prices...) you could throw an army at them and they wouldn't wipe.  However, there were always a few more colorful runs when you ran into the more dramatic individuals...

Hmm.  So that might be hard to read, sorry.  Anyway, so I was running the Nexus on my little rogue, doing my job and killing things while talking to my friend Katura, when our healer and tank had a little disagreement.

First off, caps = no.  Never talk in caps ever.  Ok, maybe not ever, if you are really excited about something there is some leeway for limited caps usage, but in general all caps is a no-no, especially if you are expressing your displeasure about something.

Second, use proper English and grammar, please.  Even though it is a videogame, these are real people playing and sounding like an idiot is never good.

And finally, Hottiexoxo?  Really?  And when you act worse than a three year old I really hope you don't actually have a three year old...  The poor kid...
